POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Overview:

As a Mobile Service Technician, the role involves providing off-site repairs for vehicles, ensuring immediate resolution for customers. Operating from a mobile van, responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting brake repairs, and performing pre and post-collision diagnostic scans. Possessing master technician skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently, contributes to increasing productivity, improving customer satisfaction, and enhancing overall sales volume. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform offsite repairs for vehicles, utilizing a mobile van for increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
  2. Enhance sales volume and scheduling availability through efficient offsite repairs.
  3. Provide brake repairs and replacements for vehicles.
  4. Utilize tools and equipment for routine maintenance and repairs.
  5. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in engines, conducting brake repairs.
  6. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections on various vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  7. Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  8. Maintain a company-issued service vehicle, documenting work performed on proprietary applications.
  9. Ensure compliance with environmental policies, federal regulations, and safety standards.
  10. Efficiently perform outlined repair tasks with accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
  11. Communicate effectively with service advisors, saving and tagging parts as needed.
  12. Document all work performed and recommended, staying updated on manufacturer bulletins.
  13. Supervise apprentice technicians, report machinery defects, and maintain tools and manuals.
  14. Operate tools and equipment safely, reporting any safety issues promptly.

  • Valid driver's license
  • Quick Lube experience
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Preferred computer skills
  • Mechanical and automotive competencies
  • Electrical backgrounds (preferred but not required)
  • ASE and I-CAR certifications (desired but not mandatory)
  • Professional attitude, good customer service, and ability to maintain a neat work environment
