Job DescriptionJob Description

Essential Functions

  • Work with the driller to accurately follow the drill head and navigate through existing utilities
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, including the directional drilling crew and project managers, to understand project requirements, plans and specifications. 
  • You and the dirll operator are expected to self-manage to a certain extent
  • Participate in pre-drilling meetings to discuss project plans, identify potential challenges  and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Always adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Continual education and improvement on skills related to locating techniques, equipment and industry best practices. 
  • This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regulary exposed to outside weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity and high temps/wind. 

Requirements

  • Prior location experience
  • Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs
  • Must have valid driver license with reliable transportation
  • Travel is required
  • Attention to detail and willingness to work together as a team
