Position Summary:
This position will be onsite in our West Valley City, Utah office located at: 2460 South 3270 West, West Valley City, Utah 84119
The Product Manager is responsible for managing their assigned product portfolio, including revenue and profitability targets, as well as collaboration on future product development initiatives. This position demands an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional people and communication skills. The Product Manager will work closely with the field sales team and managers on selling tools, competitive device testing and with development teams to influence the future direction of the product portfolio by bringing customer feedback and needs, along with market intelligence, analyses and business plans to executive leadership team. He or she will play a key role for the sales force for product solutions, clinical needs and launch execution for their assigned products. He/she will need to have and maintain excellent relationships and influence across multiple departments (including R&D, Sales, Operations, Quality & Regulatory), while being able to communicate the vision of the organization to internal and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the Senior Marketing Manager to establish product, program, or portfolio strategy.
- Interpret competitive landscape and incorporate into marketing strategy, contribute to market models and forecasts.
- Communicate on a technical, clinical, strategic, and conceptual level to facilitate collaboration, motivate and inspire teammates, and inform internal and external stakeholders.
- Author key strategy documents: product line plans, elements of strategic and annual marketing and launch plans.
- Take a lead role in competitive product testing through the development of test methods and protocols. Be able to take data and formatted for use by the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Deploy resources to influence strategic direction and drive customer engagement and adoption.
- Establish metrics and goals/success criteria to measure and achieve milestone achievement.
- Conduct post-launch analysis and implements lessons learned.
- Forecast new product sales while considering the market, product, competition, clinical utility and other variables.
- Mentor, develop and influence across the business, intentionally building cross-divisional relationships
- Develop key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, and institutions, and translate business insights into future business strategy.
- Be able to effectively communicate in writing, spoken word and also when having to present to different internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Business Management, Marketing or related Business discipline.
- 3+ years progressive combined Marketing or Product management and leadership experience.
- 2+ years medical device market experience with industry-leading organizations.
- Experience commercializing medical devices with new, transformative or platform technology.
- Hands-on experience with product management teams and voice-of-customer feedback.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal relationship skills.
- Experience in Sales and Marketing strategies, planning, budgeting and financial control.
- Ability to contribute to and supervise the development of all communications materials.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and prior experience with FDA, ISO and Quality Management System guidelines.
