Remedy, A Division of Employbridge, is excited to partner with a custom machine product manufacturer in the Tonawanda, NY area. They are currently seeking multiple CNC Machinists on their 1st and 2nd shifts The ideal candidates must have the ability to produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines, maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety standards as well as maintaining equipment and supplies. Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Type: Full-time/Direct Hire

Pay: $70,000k/year

Hours: 1st and 2nd shifts available 

2nd shift: Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm-11:30pm  and Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm 

1st shift: Monday through Friday from 6:00am-2:30pm

Essential duties for this CNC Machinist include:

  • Sets up mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry, proving part programs.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, and attachments.
  • Verifies settings by measuring first run parts and sample work pieces, adhering to established standards.
  • Maintains equipment by completing minor preventive maintenance requirements, notifying maintenance of issues and completing maintenance request forms.

We're looking for CNC Machinists with the following skills/background: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalency 
  • 2-3 years experience working as a CNC Machinist 
  • Must be able to follow G Code
  • Prior experience working with metal fabrication and machining larger parts is strongly preferred
