Architecture Intern Needed For Mini Series: Single-Family Home Design Project

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented architecture intern to assist with designing a single-family home and renovating a detached garage. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a compact yet functional space with a focus on maximizing efficiency and aesthetics.  We are producing a mini series intended for New Media platforms. The choosen intern will receive  a percentage of the sale of the property or  first  year  rental  income 

Project Details:
  • Main Home:
    • 980 square feet.
    • Layout includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
    • Option to add a third bedroom based on feasibility.
  • Garage Renovation:
    • Conversion or upgrade of a detached garage (details to be discussed).
Responsibilities:
  • Develop concept designs and floor plans for the home.
  • Incorporate the additional bedroom (if space allows).
  • Propose innovative ideas to optimize space and functionality.
  • Plan the renovation or conversion of the garage.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and zoning laws.
  • Create detailed 3D renderings and project documentation.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from an architecture program. We would also review first time  architectures.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
  • Strong understanding of space optimization in small homes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and incorporate feedback.
  • Interest in sustainable design (preferred).
Deliverables:
  • Finalized floor plans and layout for the home.
  • Design proposals for the detached garage renovation.
  • Renderings or 3D models of the project.

This position offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on a real project. Compensation and project scope details will be discussed during the interview process.
