Job Title: Short Order Cook for Diner

Location: Lakeland, FL

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced short order cook to join our team at Reececliff Family Diner in Lakeland, Florida. As a short order cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals to order in a fast-paced diner environment. You should have a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices and be able to work well in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, following established recipes and standards.

  • Ensure the quality and presentation of food meet diner expectations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience as a short order cook or line cook in a fast-paced restaurant or diner environment.

  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and ability to prepare a wide variety of menu items.

  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
