STEM and Coding Instructor

In our dojos, kids, ages 5-14, don’t just learn coding-they gain creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and STEM skills in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment. Learning to code can equip children with valuable skills such as problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity, which we believe are essential for success now and later in life. Our programs are developed with creation in mind because it allows our students to express their imagination, experiment with new ideas, and have a sense of ownership and control over their creations—not to mention, creativity is the ultimate medium for self-expression, exploration, and discovery, which are essential to our students cognitive, social and emotion development.
Responsibilities:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where campers feel encouraged to explore and innovate.
Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities.
Collaborate with other instructors to coordinate daily schedules and events.
Daily cleaning and organizing of the center and camp materials.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience working with children or teaching in a camp, classroom, or informal educational setting.
Strong knowledge of STEM concepts and principles, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic concepts.
Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate campers of varying ages, learning styles, personalities, and backgrounds.
Must pass a background check.
