Job Title
Outside Plant Inspector - Southeast Arkansas

Job Summary

The Outside Plant Inspector oversees, audits, and validates contractor field work involving Cable TV and Fiber Optic cable plant construction. The duties include audit, validation, and inspection of contractor performance, which may consist of directional drilling, placement of underground and aerial fiber optic and cable TV cable, as well as hand hole splice enclosures grounding, bonding, and other construction practices consistent with engineering documents, permits, and designs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect fiber construction per acceptable industry standards.

  • Accurately update construction maps and systems with changes/additions and materials consistent with established processes.
  • Identify and communicate construction issues, progress, opportunities, etc., to management and design staff as needed.
  • Maintain all record-keeping in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned by management and design staff.
  • Writes technical reports or documentation.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties anytime.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience (preferred, not required).

  • Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crawling.
  • Long hours and weekends, as necessary.
  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device, and a paper copy.
