Bistro Cook

The Courtyard by Marriott, situated on CMU’s campus, is looking for skilled cooks to assist with breakfast service at their onsite F&B outlet - The Bistro. If you have kitchen expertise and are committed to providing exceptional food and hospitality, we look forward to reviewing your application

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily production of high-quality food and maintaining sanitation standards at all times.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Set-up kitchen properly and on time daily
• Ensure all food is prepared by recipes designated by brand
• Ensure food quality and quantity are correct
• Must follow all QA and Health Department standards
• Notify supervisor of any problems or complaints when they arise
• Follow “clean as you go” policy and keep work area clean at all times
• Rotation of goods – FIFO (First In First Out)
• After service, turn off and clean oven tops, work areas, and reach-in boxes. Empty and clean dishwasher
• Make sure production charts are closely followed and adhered to
• Fill out appropriate cleaning charts
• Be aware of accident prevention and help enforce safe work conditions
• Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed
• Complete administrative duties as required

Satisfactory criminal background screening required - Valid driver’s license and safe driving record may be required

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights and weekends.
