Trinity School for Children has a public K-8 Charter program in Tampa, Florida. We are looking for excellent instructional candidates for a potential Certified ESE Teacher position.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To promote lifelong learning in an exploratory and interactive model where students learn to be citizens and decision makers.
STATUS:
Full-time 10-month Employee
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Limited: May travel locally for school events
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adheres to the rules and regulations as prescribed by the State Board of Education Florida Statutes, the school board, and administrative procedures outlined in employee handbook.(adheres to ethical standards, arrives to work on time, meets deadlines, informs HR and coordinator about professional and personal days…)
- Prepares, maintains, and submits accurate and complete records and reports as required by the school board and administrative procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Supports the Credo and Mission statement of Trinity School for Children.
- Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative and board policies and procedures (uniform policies, field study procedures, parent hours…)
- Maintains an environment that is safe, orderly, organized, and consistent with the Credo and Mission Statement of Trinity School for Children.
- Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated in order to best support the Credo and Mission Statement of Trinity School for Children.
- Completes appropriate assessments as outlined by the Principal and Administration.
- Designs appropriate lesson plans as assigned and demonstrates evidence of preparation and integration for each course of study.
- Creates an environment that fosters respect and is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
- Communicates effectively and appropriately with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Consistently attends professional development in order to better oneself professionally and personally.
- Participates in and supports community events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited four year college/university
- Valid Florida teacher certification or equivalent
- Highly qualified in the area you are teaching; preferred
- Clinical education and team teacher trained; preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the principal and school board may find appropriate and acceptable.
