Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Psycniatric Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team You will focus on providing high-quality patient to children, teens, and adults for a variety of common psychiatric disorders, including ADHD, trouble regulating strong emotions, anxiety, and depression.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop holistic treatment plans.
  • Manage medications and evidence-backed complementary treatments.
  • Collaborate with other providers and schools.
  • Document patient encounters and provide additional written materials as needed (e.g. for prior authorization requests).
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
  • Participate in regular supervision with a senior psychiatrist

Qualifications:

  • Have the relevant licensure and certification to practice in New York State.
  • Have taken or plan to take the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) Certification.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

I focus on kids, teens, and young adults with complex psychiatric illness, like co-morobid disorders and/or emerging personality disorder. I have second MD who works with me part-time; she focuses on young adults with serious mental illness, like szhizophrenia and bipolar disorder. We have two full time office staff who help manage scheduling and billing.Company DescriptionI am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in full-time private practice.
