Position Overview: We seek a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infectious diseases, be highly skilled in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-evolving field. You will play a critical role in managing chronic infections, providing preventive care, and educating patients on health management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments for patients with various infectious diseases, including history-taking and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute infections, including HIV, hepatitis, and other infectious diseases.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and effective care.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and health promotion.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and applicable regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in infectious disease treatment and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in TX.
  • Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in infectious disease, internal medicine, or primary care settings.
  • Experience in HIV care, hepatitis management, or other infectious diseases is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
  • Excellent clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
