Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Steward to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our manufacturing operations area is clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining orderliness, and supporting overall facility upkeep to promote a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform daily cleaning of manufacturing areas, including floors, machinery, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify areas needing attention and address them promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety training sessions as required and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; reorder as necessary to ensure adequate stock.
- Maintain an organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or concerns related to cleanliness.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety protocols related to custodial work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, ability to lift objects, stand for long periods, and perform manual labor.
Work Environment: This position involves working in a manufacturing setting where cleanliness is crucial for operational efficiency. The Manufacturing Area Custodian may be exposed to various environmental conditions typical of manufacturing facilities.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
