Seeking all passionate Health Care Professionals searching for a new career opportunity in a residential setting with an expanding business Universal Institute is looking for creative, friendly, and team oriented professional to work within our residential homes. In our family oriented communities, our clients live in Universal Institute’s homes. There are only 2-3 clients per home, making the caseload very manageable. Professionals with knowledge in brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions is encouraged.

Universal Institute Rehabilitation and Fitness Inc. is expanding our Lehigh Valley presence Located in Bethlehem, Pa, Universal Institute provides various services for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological conditions. Universal Institute's services include; rehabilitation, residential, community integration, and structured day programing.

Direct Care Professionals are responsible for the supervision and quality care of our clients with in the residential setting. Our Direct Care Professionals provide optimal care and contact with the client as part of a rehabilitation team working to achieve individualistic client goals while maintaining their overall wellness.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old or older

At least 1+ year(s) experience in direct care/working with traumatic brain injury preferred

Ability to assist with lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling our clients in wheelchair (100-300 lbs.)

Excellent interpersonal skills

Must have a valid PA driver’s license with an excellent driving record, and be able to drive Universal Institute’s handicapped accessible vans

Required to maintain cleanliness and general organization of all equipment, supplies, and working areas

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends

Experience:

• brain injury: 1 year (encouraged)

License:

• Driver's License and clean driving record (required)
