Top 25 South Florida CPA firm located in Coral Gables, FL, with a good family environment and high-quality work, is looking for an experienced tax manager. This 70+ year-old firm seeks qualified candidates to grow their careers and take on high-net-worth clients as well as sophisticated larger client tax work. Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 Years in Public accounting experience

  • Certified Public Accountant

  • Masters in Taxation

  • Full-Time Position

  • Responsible and accountable individual

  • Extensive experience in both domestic and foreign tax issues including disclosure forms

  • Excellent analytical, technical tax accounting, and technology skills, tax compliance consulting for individual, corporate tax matters, and partnerships

  • Knowledge in business development

  • Supervision experience

  • Work well with a team

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Go-getter work ethic

Job description:

  • Candidate will be responsible for reviewing various tax returns and offshore disclosure forms. (Forms 1040, 1120/1120S, 1041, 1065, 990, 5471, 5472, 8865, 3520A/3520, etc.)

  • Candidate should have working experience in domestic, international, estate and gift tax areas

  • Management of clients including communicating and delivering all tax consulting services to the client and bringing in specialists, when necessary.

  • Some preparation of complex tax returns

  • Experience with ASC 740

  • Review tax returns for accuracy, minimization of tax liability, available tax credits, and tax provision.

  • Respond to client inquires timely, Internal Revenue Service, and State and local tax notices.

  • Research tax questions and prepare memos.

  • Assistance with partners in management of staff and pending client lists.
