Computational Scientist

R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Computational Scientist in South San Francisco, CA.
Your main responsibilities as a Computational Scientist:
· Maintain bioinformatics and data infrastructure for research projects related to individualized cancer immunotherapy
· Collaborate with computational biologists, AI scientists and engineers
· Maintain excellent documentation, and data analysis practices to ensure reproducible data science
· Present findings to the Cancer Immunogenomics group and collaborators.
What we are looking for in a Computational Scientist:
· PhD (or Master's with significant experience) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
· Extensive experience in data and bioinformatics infrastructure (including curation, databases and workflows), particularly for AI/ML projects
· Solid understanding of the relevant concepts in cancer immunology and enthusiasm for learning more
· Broad understanding of data generated from one or more molecular assays: next generation sequencing platforms, ELIspot, mass spectrometry etc.
· Proficiency in R, Python, and shell scripting.
