Komori Offset Pressman

Full Sail Media is seeking an exceptional, talented individual to join operations in our growing company as an Offset Press Operator of our 28” Komori 5 Color & Coater at our Baltimore location. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with interest and experience in printing and graphics to work and be involved with the offset production process.

The Offset Press Operator candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff. The Offset Press Operator candidates must be highly organized and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Make ready and operate offset printing press.

• Follow job jacket to determine quantity to print, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions

• Constantly check pull sheets for ink density, position, and registration. Make adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.

• Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of press.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Required skills:

• Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously

• A high school diploma or GED

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to produce rapidly

• Must be very motivated and highly productive

• Must be able to perform physical duties of position such as assisting in moving product to departments

• Must be willing to commit long term as we are looking for team-oriented individuals

• A working knowledge of print, design, and color management

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• At least 5 year experience on Printing Industry.

• 2+ year experience as First or Second Pressman with an in-depth knowledge of the mechanics and capabilities of a Komori 5 Color & Coater 20 x 28 offset press operating

• Technically and mechanically oriented

• Printing and/or related production experience

• Color printing experience (4-color preferably)

• Good visual identification — pays attention to detail

• Dedicated — ready and willing to make an extra effort to exceed customer expectations

• Willing to work overtime as needed to meet customer needs
