We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic IT team as a IT System Developer Manager. In this role, you will assume a crucial responsibility by overseeing and troubleshooting issues related to WMS (Warehouse Management System) and developing procedures and programs to ensure the CC (Consolidation Center) continuously runs our Automotive Manufacturing plant. WMS consist of GCS, JIS and interfacing with others. Your primary focus will involve implementing, maintaining, and optimizing a company's WMS software and processes within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities for a WMS System Developer:

  • Develop software to assist with the monitoring of shops.
  • Develop software to add or enhance functionality with current WMS systems.
  • Install hardware and software.
  • Maintain and install equipment and configurations for the MES network.
  • Develop and maintain secondary software for environmental data gathering and
  • Assembly repair reports.
  • Perform purchasing duties for hardware, software, and services to complete tasks/projects.
  • Maintain assigned systems within WMS.
  • Design and implement Kubernetes clusters that are scalable, highly available, and secure.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, scaling, and managing Kubernetes environments.
  • Ensure systems are running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot root causes of system issues.
  • Install hardware and software for enhancements to existing systems.
  • Generate ideas for system improvement.
  • Run reports for customers for data in assigned systems.
  • Create procedures and documentation for the WMS.
  • Train GCS/JIS Technicians and Users.
  • Communicate with Clients to meet the organization's needs.
  • The System Developer responsible for system accuracy and stability during production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills for a WMS System Developer:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the IT field Or experience working on projects as a lead developer.
  • Ability to support 24 X 7
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Certifications Preferred: A+, Microsoft Certifications (MCPD, MCITP, MCTS)
  • Any Certifications related to MES are a plus.
  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent Analytical Skills and problem-solving skills
  • Good documentation skills
  • Software: Vue 3.X, Java 17.X, Springboot 2.7.X, .Net Framework 4.8, NginX, Tomcat, ASP.NET, C#
  • Database/OS: Maria DB and Tibero, Oracle 11g, SQL server knowledge, Application Server (Windows and Linux), RHEL 9.X., RedHat, Debian, Amazon Linux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, API, and ecosystem tools (e.g., Helm, Kustomize).
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Intermediate proficiency in performing coding utilizing C#, ASP.net, HTML5, and WinForms
  • Intermediate proficiency in writing PL/SQL statements for Oracle and SQL DB
  • Intermediate proficiency in coding/debugging GMES Applications
  • Intermediate Analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logical Controller)
  • Intermediate knowledge of business processes related to MES.
  • Primary SME (Subject Matter Expert) to the assigned shop

This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including a laptop computer and cell phone. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The estimated base salary range for this job is $81,200-$86,00. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
