Position Summary:
As an aviation upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating and installing high-quality upholstery for a variety of aircraft. You will work with a team of experienced professionals to ensure that every detail is perfect, from the stitching to the finishing touches.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of sewing and pattern-making experience
  • Experience in aviation or a similar industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or meet airport requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic stripping operations of fabric from aircraft surfaces to prepare for remodeling and recovering
  • Work with leather and fabrics to refurbish aircraft seating to high-quality levels
  • Pattern, cut, sew, cement, and trim upholstery fabrics for drapery, divans, chairs, headliners, side panels, containers, and engine and propeller covers
  • Assist in covering flight control surfaces
  • Perform routine and complex sewing operations
  • Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
  • Work with the team to complete established goals
