About Us:
We are a reputable law firm specializing in landlord/tenant law. We are looking to bring on a contract attorney who already operates their own firm but is seeking additional work. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with eviction cases and a deep understanding of landlord/tenant law. Position Overview:
The contract attorney will be responsible for making weekly appearances on behalf of our clients in eviction proceedings. You will represent clients in court, handle legal arguments, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and court procedures. All case prep and ground work will be handled by our offices. This position is solely for weekly appearances. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys seeking additional income and work in the area of landlord/tenant law. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend court appearances for eviction cases on a weekly basis.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, motions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Review case files and ensure compliance with all applicable eviction laws and procedures.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients regarding landlord/tenant issues.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and filings as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must have prior experience in landlord/tenant law and eviction proceedings.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in [State].
  • Must have the ability to appear in court regularly (weekly) in [City/County].
  • Ability to manage case files independently, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and legal research skills.
  • Professional demeanor and reliable attendance.

Compensation:
The position pays $250 - $350 per appearance, depending on experience and case complexity. Payment is processed on a monthly basis.
