Experience Required: 7-10 years of experience in Mastercam or Esprit, and CNC Lathe Programming. Leadership experience of 2 years is required. Quality program experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5S) is a plus.

Position Overview:

  • Develop CNC programs using 2D drawings and 3D models in collaboration with a diverse team.
  • Support operational set-up and program launches to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Optimize product quality, cycle time, and tooling costs through effective collaboration with machinists.
  • Identify and communicate design challenges that affect manufacturing processes to management.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in CAM software (MasterCam and/or Esprit), verification software (Vericut), and post processor editing.
  • Proficiency in live tooling programming and a strong background in Mill Turn, 5-axis milling, and Lathe.
  • Experience with Swiss Turn is an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in solid modeling software such as Creo, Inventor, and SolidWorks (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like Visual MFG, Global Shop, and JD Edwards (preferred).

  • Oversee projects that support business growth in existing and new markets.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles to minimize waste.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Utilize analytical skills and technical principles for problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Use CAM software (Mastercam / Esprit) for CNC program generation.
  • Provide floor support to machinists post-program deployment.
  • Edit and customize post processors as needed.
  • Optimize CNC programs to enhance feed rates, reduce quality risks, and communicate standard work procedures.
  • Utilize verification software (Vericut) to ensure program accuracy and prevent errors.
  • Collaborate with tooling suppliers to enhance process and efficiency; develop and implement new tooling strategies.
  • Act as a primary problem solver within the facility.
  • Optimize tool selection and usage.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet customer needs.
