Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Opportunities for the 2024/2025 School Year

SLPA Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Implement specialized therapy plans through individual and group sessions in alignment with students’ Individual Education Plans (IEP) goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to integrate therapy into daily activities and provide strategies to support students' communication needs.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and support the development of IEPs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as per federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences from an accredited educational institution.
  • Valid SLPA state license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Child Abuse, Federal, and State Clearances.
