MEMCO Houston is hiring MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS


As a plant and mechanical technician, you will be responsible forimplementing, repairing and the general upkeep of fine mechanical equipment. This may involve investigating problems and coming up with solutions.

Job Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $27/hr (based on experience)

Skills:

  • Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of different fastener grades (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and the lubrication and torqueing requirements
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Practical skills for repairing, fine tuning and maintaining equipment/tools


Job Duties:

  • Implementing equipment modifications to help improve operation and reliability
  • Investigating and testing ideas to improve existing systems or to overcome mechanical problems
  • Installing and testing of moving parts.
  • Preparing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems for commissioning by subject matter experts
  • Identifying and repairing mechanical challenges in equipment
  • Working with other professionals, within and outside the technician sector
