General Information

Job Description:

Purpose:
Develop and execute ETL code to ensure data loading processes are reliable and data quality remains high. Develop reports, dashboards, and tools for business users. Create technical solutions to improve access to and usage of data. Aggregate and analyze various data sets to provide actionable insights.

Essential functions:

  • 30% Writes and executes ETL code, primarily complex SQL scripts, while leveraging other technologies.
  • 15% Analyzes and validates existing routines and communicates impacts. Assists with data transformation, manipulation, and presentation to users.
  • 15% Works with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key business users to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes.
  • 10% Supports the Software Engineering team with data analysis and validation using extensive SQL queries.
  • 10% Designs, configures, implements, monitors, and manages all aspects of Data Integration Framework.
  • 10% Provides guidance on Modeling Data Warehouse solutions, whether cloud-based or on-premise. Understands Dimensional Modeling, Denormalized Data Structures, OLAP, and Data Warehousing concepts.
  • 10% Defines Data Integration best practices for the data management environment.

Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree

Education Details:
Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

Experience:
3 years of hands-on experience with database management systems, ELT/ETL systems, business intelligence tools, defect management, and system testing.

In Lieu of Education:
An additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, along with the necessary work experience.

  • Packaged Applications:
    • Informatica (Not Required, Importance: 2, Level: Intermediate, Last Used: Within 6 Months, 1 - 2 Years)

    • Python (Not Required, Importance: 3, Level: Intermediate, Last Used: Within 6 Months, 1 - 2 Years)

Other Requirements:
The incumbent must immediately disclose any debarment, exclusion, or other event that makes them ineligible to perform work on Federal health care programs. They must work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and meet deadlines, handling multiple customer demands. Excellent communication and positive customer service skills are essential, including dealing with demanding or challenging customers.
