Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer at Qualer, Inc., you will play a crucial role in enhancing our infrastructure, streamlining our deployment processes, and optimizing our development workflows. You will collaborate closely with our development, operations, and QA teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Azure ARM and Azure DevOps pipelines to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
  2. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  3. Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health, performance, and availability of our systems and applications, leveraging tools such as Boomerang, Grafana, or similar technologies.
  4. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Conduct regular security assessments and audits and collaborate with the development team to remediate vulnerabilities.
  5. Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing. Document processes, configurations, and best practices in the QMS system.
  6. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance through tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling.
  7. Security and Infrastructure Questionnaires: You will work on responses to audit findings and RFP questionnaires related to system architecture, infrastructure and security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development and operations.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Ruby.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Attention to detail and meticulousness in documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively without continuous supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in relevant technologies.
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Basic understanding of the SQL databases and ability to write SQL scripts is a plus.
