Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Part-time Line Cook/Food Prep/Dishwasher to join our dedicated kitchen staff You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen. Fifteen hours or more a week. Opportunity for advancement.

Line Cook/Food Prep:

  • Prepare all served food
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
  • Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
  • Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

Dishwasher:

  • Cleans and maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils
  • Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans by hand or using dishwashers
  • Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils
  • Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Sorts and removes trash and places it in designated pickup areas
  • Cleans garbage cans
  • Sweeps or scrubs floors

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience a plus but will train a motivated person
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well in teams
