We are seeking a skilled Field Fire Alarm Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation: Install fire alarm systems, wiring, and related components according to blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Inspection and Testing: Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose issues with alarm systems and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Documentation: Complete detailed reports on inspections, tests, repairs, and maintenance work; update system records.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain inspection results, repairs needed, and offer guidance on system functionality.
  • Code Compliance: Stay updated on local, state, and federal fire codes and regulations to ensure installations and repairs meet all legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or related field.
  • Certifications: NICET certification require; knowledge of NFPA codes is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform work in various conditions.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.
