Position Title: Traveling QC Manager (Construction)

Location: Ridgecrest, CA

Pay: $90-115K

Employment Type: Direct Hire

We are looking for a Traveling QC Manager to work on projects located throughout CA initially. The candidate can reside anywhere but must be available to travel to projects within California throughout the next year, with future projects located in other states.

This client specializes in different types of municipality projects - federal/administration buildings, historic reservations, military, churches, and more valued from $1M-10M, with offices in New Jersey and San Diego.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement quality control standards and procedures tailored to construction projects to ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Inspect and monitor construction activities on-site to identify deviations from quality standards, documenting any defects or non-compliance issues.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality control measures are implemented at every stage of construction.
  • Review construction materials to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards before use on-site.
  • Manage the testing of materials for strength and adherence to project specifications.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings to discuss quality control practices and expectations with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Investigate customer complaints related to construction quality, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of quality control equipment for accurate measurements and testing results.

Required

  • BA degree in Construction Management or related engineering field
  • QC certifications are a plus
