Job Summary:
Just Play is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Manager, Digital Shelf Storytelling and Strategy for our Digital Shelf team. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing Just Play’s online presence and driving sales of our toy products through effective digital storytelling and compelling product presentation. Just about every sale is influenced by what consumers see on retailer websites. We believe this makes product pages across Walmart.com, Amazon.com, Target.com and other e-retailer website one of, if not the, most important asset any brand can have. As a key moment of truth in the consumer journey, it is imperative that brands tell the best product story, quickly. This role is responsible for ensuring that Just Play is best-in-class across the digital shelf. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital commerce, a knack for creating engaging customer experiences, the ability to communicate key selling points clearly and concisely to parents and gift givers and write inspiring and clear creative briefs to ensure creative teams know exactly what is needed.
Your main KPIs are conversion rate, sales growth and share of shelf.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Digital Shelf Strategy Development: Lead the strategy for the digital shelf, focusing on optimizing product visibility and engagement across various online platforms (Amazon.com, Target.com, Walmart.com, etc.), analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Storytelling and Content Creation: Develop and execute storytelling strategies, in collaboration with creative teams, that resonate with parents and gift givers, showcasing the unique features and benefits of our toy products. Clearly articulate storytelling needs in inspiring creative briefs to ensure the creative teams know exactly what is needed.
- Product Presentation and Optimization: Oversee the presentation of products on e-commerce platforms, ensuring that key selling points are highlighted effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, sales, product development and creative teams to ensure alignment on branding and product positioning and act as a liaison between various departments to enhance the overall digital shopping experience.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital shelf performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement and preparing regular reports on digital commerce performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent experience, in marketing, communications, digital media, business or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or related fields, with a strong focus on consumer products, preferably in toys or related industries.
- Must have passion for children’s consumer goods and entertainment.
- Proven track record of developing successful digital strategies that drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate product features into clear benefits for consumers.
- Proven ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback and input from multiple stakeholders.
- Organized, Organized, Organized
- Willing to jump in wherever and whenever the team needs and put team above self.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
