FABRICATION WELDER - 1st Shift and 2nd Shift
ABOUT THE JOB:
1st Shift: Monday thru Friday: 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Rate of Pay: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour (paid weekly)
- Overtime Rate: $27.00 to $33.00 per hour
- Overtime always available; paid breaks
- Location: Carol Stream, IL (DuPage County)
- Requirements: Resume / Interview / Drug Test
2nd Shift Schedule: Monday thru Friday: 3:45pm to 12:15am
- $20.00 to $24.00 per hour (paid weekly)
- Overtime Rate: $30.00 to $36.00
- Overtime always available; paid breaks
- Location: Carol Stream, IL (DuPage County)
- Requirements: Resume / Interview / Drug Test
Our client is an industry-leading Machine Manufacturer serving the plastics industry. Established for over 40 years, the company is privately-owned and operated business designing and building custom thermoforming machinery. Our client maintains a strong focus on the development of teammates.
JOB SUMMARY: The primary tasks of the Fabrication Welder involve building machine frames and components out of structural steel, followed by tearing down completed machines to prepare for transport.
MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components that consist of light gauge sheet
metal to heavy gauge tube, flat bar, and I-Beam
Fabricating industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks
Grinding and finishing completed products
Perform quality checks on finished components
Installing finished components into machine structures
Disassembling machines for painting and shipping
Material handling with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes

DESIRED SKILLS:
MIG welding and/or fabrication experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints (or ability to learn)
Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and cranes are a plus
