Overview

Provide quality occupational therapy services as a member of the Tresco Outreach and Training Services (TOTS).

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure 55% of your time at work is billable time (face to face, home visits, team consultation, community consultation, evaluations, assessments, IFSP meetings).
  2. Assist in development of IFSP’s.
  3. Determine appropriate assessment tools and perform neuromotor/sensorimotor evaluations to children who are developmentally delayed or at risk or children with a variety of disabilities.
  4. Perform comprehensive neurodevelopment evaluations of infants:
  5. These may include obtaining social histories and performing complete developmental and motor assessments for children 15 months and under.
  6. Interpreting testing information to parents.
  7. Follow-up which may include relaying information to other professionals, developing sort term intervention plans for parents to use at home, training parents in appropriate agencies, and providing support for families adjusting to child’s developmental difficulties.
  8. Participate in outreach training-provide therapy information through evaluations and in-services to programs in local and rural communities.
  9. Provide training for staff and families and other assigned.

  2. Serve as a member of the Tresco Outreach and Training Services Evaluation Team.
  3. Prevention on minimalization of the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability.

  5. Seek growth in the profession to keep abreast of new techniques, equipment and materials.
  6. Share talents and ideas with other team members to facilitate program development.
  7. Agree to fulfill performance responsibilities in location(s) assigned, state-wide travel required.
  8. Assist in organization of program activities and child find opportunities.
  9. Actively participate in reflective supervision at least once every month.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES.  Other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  2. Bilingual skills are beneficial but not required.

Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy from school accredited by the American National Therapy Association. Three years’ experience working with children with disability or who are at risk.

Licenses/Certification: Current certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.).  Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  2. Bilingual skills are beneficial but not required.

RATE OF PAY: $28.00-$36.00

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
