Job Overview:

As a IBWave Designer, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing wireless networks using IBWave Design software. You will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed network designs, conducting RF analysis, and ensuring that all designs meet both client requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing complex wireless systems, a strong understanding of RF principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• IBWave Network Design:

  • Design and develop indoor wireless network layouts, including Wi-Fi, DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems), and small cells using IBWave Design software.
  • Create detailed network plans, floor plans, and schematics with accurate antenna placement, cable routing, and equipment specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and client specifications.

• RF Optimization and Simulation:

  • Perform RF simulations using IBWave tools to ensure optimal coverage and signal strength.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot wireless network performance issues, offering recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with RF engineers to ensure network designs are optimized for real-world performance.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Generate comprehensive network design reports, including Bill of Materials (BoM), equipment specifications, and installation guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of designs, revisions, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.

• Client Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with clients to understand project requirements, gather necessary data, and incorporate feedback into designs.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide technical support as needed.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that designs are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and goals.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure proper implementation and troubleshooting during deployment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireless network design, with a focus on IBWave Design software.
  • Proven experience with designing and optimizing indoor wireless networks (Wi-Fi, DAS, small cells, etc.).
  • Experience in RF planning and optimization for different types of wireless technologies.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in IBWave Design software (IBWave, IBWave for Wi-Fi, IBWave for DAS).
  • Strong understanding of RF principles, propagation models, and interference analysis.
  • Familiarity with wireless communication standards (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6).
  • Experience with network design software such as AutoCAD or other CAD tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of signal strength prediction, heatmaps, and capacity planning.

• Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

• Certifications (optional but preferred):

  • IBWave Certification.
  • Wireless Network Certification (e.g., CWNP, CWNA).

Additional Attributes:

• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana is a plus.
