Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Concrete Laborer with experience in pouring foundations to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete foundations for various residential and commercial projects. This position requires strong physical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare work sites for foundation pouring by clearing debris, setting up forms, and gathering necessary tools and materials.
• Assist with the layout, measurement, and installation of formwork and reinforcement (rebar) for foundation structures.
• Pour, and spread concrete for deep foundations, footings, walls, and other structural components.
• Help ensure that foundation forms are aligned, level, and meet project specifications before and during pouring.
• Use a variety of tools and techniques to place, compact, and vibrate concrete to avoid air pockets and ensure strong, durable foundations.
• Monitor concrete curing times and apply curing methods to strengthen foundations.
• Work with crew members to strip and remove forms once the concrete has sufficiently hardened.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and help maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Assist skilled workers such as foremen and concrete finishers in other construction-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous 2 years or more experience with concrete foundation work
• Knowledge of formwork installation and rebar tying
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or trenches.
• Familiarity with foundation-related tools and equipment, including mixers, vibrators, and trowels.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, structurally sound foundations.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, read blueprints or site plans, and measure accurately.
• Good teamwork skills and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
• Valid driver’s license
