Job description

Responsibilities include the development of individual student goals, objectives and instructional methodology to be included in the IEPs, completion of data collection regarding daily student performance, completion of quarterly reports and educational assessments, MCAS, participation in analysis of behavioral data, and the supervision of instructors in the implementation of instructional activities.

Ideal candidates have experience as an Elementary Special Education Teacher, Middle school Special Education Teacher and High school Special Education Teacher.

The Center for Applied Behavioral Instruction is proud to offer a highly competitive salary starting at $64,000 commensurate with experience. The position is school based working from 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. CABI’s school year runs 226 days per year.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in special education or related field, master’s degree preferable
  • Experience in caring for persons with developmental or physical challenges
  • Massachusetts Special Education Certification or eligibility for certification or waiver in Moderate or Severe Special Needs in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

We have a unique team format consisting of a 2:1 & 1:1 student to teacher ratio, a special education teacher within each classroom, as well as a behavior analyst within each classroom. Our teachers and behavior analysts are not considered within the ratio, therefor they are free to oversee the classroom as a whole. Our classrooms consist of a maximum of 8 students.
