Buffalo Solar is a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution. As a NYSERDA quality installer, we pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence, accuracy, and compliance. We recently secured the first $1,000,000 REAP Grant in NY, showcasing our commitment to driving sustainable solutions and supporting businesses in achieving their green energy goals. We want someone who is passionate about solar and will help NY achieve its goals by reducing economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions 40 percent by 2030 one building at a time. You will be working with a highly experienced team to support you through your process ensuring success from the start. Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Prospecting and generating leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, the “orange vest” process, and referrals.- Conducting thorough needs assessments and consultations with prospective clients to understand their energy requirements and business objectives.
- Partnering with a team of experts, develop customized solar solutions tailored to meet the unique needs and budget of each commercial client.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to demonstrate the benefits of solar energy and our services.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients throughout the sales process and after installation, fostering long-term relationships.
- Stay current on industry trends, solar technology advancements, and government incentives to effectively communicate the value proposition of solar energy to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field (preferred).- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably in the solar industry or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial solar systems, including photovoltaic technology, energy storage, and financing options.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and meet sales targets.
- Knowledge of local regulations, incentives, and policies related to solar energy (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
