Job Title: Tax Reviewer (Seasonal Part-Time)

Location: Mount Laurel, NJ

Pay Rate: $20-$24 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Tax Reviewer to join our team on a part-time, seasonal basis for the January-April 2025 tax season. This role focuses on reviewing individual, business, and trust tax returns prepared by interns, junior, and senior tax accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Expert in reviewing NJ/PA tax returns to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and review, with a strong background in reviewing returns.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing feedback to preparers and collaborating with team members.
  • Flexible hours with the ability to work more during peak filing periods as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Review individual, business, and trust tax returns prepared by interns, junior, and senior tax staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies, errors, or omissions, providing timely feedback to preparers to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate closely with Partners, Managers, and Supervisors to address complex tax issues and ensure a high level of accuracy in final filings.
  • Reach out to clients as needed to request missing documentation or clarify information provided.
  • Stay updated on current tax laws, including federal and state tax regulations, to provide guidance and identify potential tax savings opportunities for clients.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
