JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Machinist shall be responsible for the overall productivity, quality, and on-time delivery of all machined parts. Daily tasks shall include machine set up and operation of 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, coaching, tracking, and reporting on a highly skilled team knowledgeable in various skills and techniques associated with both conventional and CNC machining. Must be able to interpret drawings and inspect parts to drawing using various inspection instruments (including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gauge, comparator, pin gauges, etc.). Be able to read and work according to blueprints, work orders, verbal instructions and the various requirements set forth by TBT and its Quality Management System. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for providing Machining support in a dynamic manufacturing environment and further help maintain the department as a first-class operation. Daily coordination with the Machine Shop Programmer as needed.
2. Advanced machine set up and operation with limited management oversight using conventional mills and lathes, CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, wire EDM and other standard support equipment.
3. Inspection skills using CMM.
4. CNC machine programming. Mastercam is a plus.
5. Basic Bending Skills: single bend and multi bend.
6. Basic Tube inspection Skills: in process / final inspection, tube inspection equipment/methods, and Tube CMM operation.
7. Understand blueprints, part configuration and routing instructions.
8. Drive production schedule against order estimate and coordinate expedited orders with all other departments.
9. Aid in developing project-related processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions providing feedback to estimating and/or Engineering as needed.
10. Meet goals and objectives in a timely manner.
11. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
12. Follow procedures and use common sense to maintain a safe working environment.
13. Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
14. Perform other tasks as assigned.
PERIPHERAL DUTIES
Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
Assist in formulating strategic plans.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING HOURS
· Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime on Fridays shall be required on an as needed basis.

- Salary range is annually ~$70k-$90k. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.

- 6+ years’ experience at $37-$39 (Dependent upon exp)
- Senior level Machinist Dept Lead - negotiable (Dependent upon exp)
