Job Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Machinist Level 2 to join a manufacturing company in Hopkinton, NH. In this role, you will utilize intermediate machining techniques to produce accurate, high-quality parts. The position requires proficiency in CNC principles, procedures, and setups. You will work on a variety of CNC machinery, including 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathes, while demonstrating problem-solving abilities and a willingness to further develop your skills.

 

Location: Hopkinton, NH
Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 5 – 8-hour shifts
• 2nd Shift: 4 – 10-hour shifts
• Overtime as necessary
• Flexible scheduling in agreement with the supervisor

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00/hr

Essential Functions:

• Perform intermediate to complex machining and programming activities based on company capabilities.
• Provide technical advice and solutions for less experienced machinists.
• Modify existing programs to improve efficiency.
• Setup high-end jobs on 3-axis, 5-axis, and/or lathes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Check parts for accuracy according to prints and models using various inspection techniques.
• Design basic fixtures for machining parts.
• Wear proper PPE for all job functions.
• Assist with cleaning and preventative maintenance of machines, tools, and workstations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Mastery of all Machinist I knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Proficient in WinMax and/or Mastercam programming software.
• Strong understanding of G-code.
• Proficient in SolidWorks modeling software.
• Experience with 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe machining.
• Knowledge of complex fixturing techniques.
• Experience with high-tolerance machining and geometric dimensioning.
• Strong understanding of shop mechanics, mathematics, and measurement.
• Experience working with multiple types of materials.

Education & Professional Experience:

• Degree in Machine Tool, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of CNC programming and/or machining experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
