Outside Sales Representative

 

JET Technologies, a thriving plastics fabrication company located in Elkhart, IN, specializing in custom CNC machining, thermoforming, and assembly, is offering an enticing opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated Sales professional to become part of our team as an Outside Sales Representative. In this role, you will manage existing accounts while actively pursuing new ones to sustain our current growth trajectory, all while delivering exceptional service and support. This position offers a competitive salary, commission incentives, and an outstanding benefits package.

 

Mandatory Requirements

v 3+ years of successful manufacturing sales experience selling custom products – plastic, wood or metal products are acceptable.

v Strong mechanical aptitude.

v Professional w/ strong work ethic, sales/customer knowledge, negotiating skills, performance driven, relationship builder.

v Local and overnight night travel required.

v Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams as well as other virtual meeting platforms.

v Regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside regular hours as necessary.

 

Other Important Skills

v Knowledge of plastics applications and processes.

v Experience in product design and/or development.

v Understand CAD drawings.

v Ability to analyze and make recommendations on manufacturing of proper product for specific applications.

v Thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

v Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

v Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service.

v Possess technical knowledge of boats and the boating industry.

 

Essential Functions

v It’s imperative for the individual to effectively communicate engineering specifications and accurately detail project design intent.

v Proactively search, identify, and obtain business opportunities with new and existing customers.

v Create and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

v Serve as the primary, face-to-face representative of JET Technologies to the customer.

v Correctly identify customer’s needs to ensure that expectations are met while understanding the manufacturing process.

v Take immediate action on any customer issues to ensure retention of business and perform additional follow-up as needed.

v Interact with customers on a regular basis.

v Maintain communication with customers regarding procedures, pricing, and lead time.

v Regularly communicate with engineers and plant management to determine design requirements, production timeline and any other matters related to customer requests.
