Our team is seeking a Mechanical/Hydraulic Technician. The main role will be overseeing and supporting the Installer company on carrying out track switches testing in accordance with processes and approved procedures. He/she may be responsible for executing the test activities over trackside/railway systems and ensure that Test & Commissioning process is executed in a proper manner and in compliance to standards, regulations, and local laws.  You will support the Test engineer on deep troubleshooting of the systems and equipment to identify root cause of failures and integration issues, and identify/define containment and sustainable solutions, with support of the ITC Lead/Test Integration Lead. Ensures that safety and HSE is enforced in all steps leading toward solutions and during execution. Reports all test and field work in a timely manner. Ensure identification of non-conformities, defects, and workmanship issues.

Interface to the ITC stakeholders to ensure all installation supervision and T&C works over wayside/railway systems are being executed in a proper manner in coordination with the test Lead.

This technician will also be trained to work with wayside systems such as Object Controllers, CBTC Radios, Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Data Comm. System (DCS).

Key responsibilities:

●Support the Engineers on consolidating Test Reports test results (for ISA and customer) and fully collaboration to the Field Team.

●Support the Test Engineers and Test Lead on planning the activities on site.

●To report to the Test Engineer team significant deviations proposing action plans to recover delays. Daily report.

●Execute tests and troubleshoot failures and NCR. Support the hydraulic/mechanical installation and testing of the track switches.

●Record NCR, making the appropriate record on the test sheets and reporting the results to system validation and the punch list roll-out. Support the management on tracking and raising NCRs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

·      Technician degree in mechanical and Hydraulic system or related field.

·      Minimum 4 years of previous relevant experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems.

·      Experience with the electrical system is a plus.

·      Installation, Testing and Commissioning.

·      Railway experience is a plus.

·      Knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD, MS Office

·      Valid Driver’s License

  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug test and must be fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus
  • Wear Safety Shoes

Shifts:                 NIGHT SHIFT -  10:00PM to 6:00 AM  (may require day meetings or training availability)
