About the Role:

Reflex Performance Resources Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Designer with extensive experience in both women's and men's activewear. This position will manage a team of designers and be responsible for overseeing the entire technical design process, from development through production. You will collaborate closely with design, buying, and product development teams while acting as the point of contact for vendors, ensuring that all apparel maintains our brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and stay up-to-date with market trends, construction techniques, and new technologies, including 3D prototyping.
  • Oversee the preparation and assembly of tech packs, managing the product from development stages through production.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of a block pattern library for fit consistency across product categories.
  • Manage a team of technical designers, ensuring they are supported in fittings and daily operations.
  • Act as a liaison between design, production, and vendors to ensure product quality, timely sampling, and production readiness.
  • Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues and recommend solutions.
  • Facilitate the sampling process from concept to production-ready samples, addressing fit and construction challenges.
  • Manage the quality control process, ensuring standards are met in both domestic and import factories.
  • Support the onboarding of PLM systems and work with various software tools like Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years of experience in technical design, including managing a team.
  • Previous experience with activewear apparel for both women and men.
  • Proven ability to grow businesses, identify trends, and deliver results.
  • Exceptional understanding of garment fit, construction, and finishing.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Proficient in PLM, Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Outlook.
