We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team and bring our pizza offerings to the next level.
Job Summary:
The Pizza Chef is responsible for preparing a variety of pizzas and ensuring that each pizza meets our high standards for quality and presentation. The role involves working with fresh ingredients, creating a consistent product, and upholding the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen. This person will play a key role in delivering an exceptional experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to recipes and company standards.
- Manage dough preparation, topping selection, and baking techniques to ensure each pizza is made to perfection.
- Ensure that ingredients are fresh, stored correctly, and handled safely.
- Assist in menu planning, including testing new pizza recipes and specials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including kitchen equipment and tools.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.
- Monitor inventory of pizza ingredients and report low stock levels to management.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar role in a kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of pizza-making techniques, including dough handling and wood-fired or stone-oven cooking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with different styles of pizza (e.g., Neapolitan, New York, thin crust, etc.).
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
