Position: Electronics Assembly Technician
Location: CopaSAT, LLC, Largo, FL

About the Role
CopaSAT, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Assembly Technician with strong soldering and electronics box build expertise to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our production process, assembling and testing cutting-edge satellite communication terminals. You will work closely with engineers and production staff, applying your hands-on skills to ensure each unit meets rigorous quality and performance standards. If you have a solid foundation in electronics, an eye for detail, and a drive for continuous improvement, this position offers excellent growth potential in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly to build electronic enclosures and subassemblies according to specifications and schematics.
  • Conduct acceptance testing on satellite communication terminals, ensuring they meet all performance and quality benchmarks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electronic components, wiring, and assemblies, making repairs as needed.
  • Utilize ERP software to manage and maintain inventory, production orders, and related documentation (Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus).
  • Support and maintain an organized, efficient workspace, regularly verifying that tools and equipment are in proper working order.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements, enhance build efficiency, and improve quality standards.
  • Assist with receiving, shipping, and purchasing operations as required.
  • Perform additional tasks to support ongoing manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship and ability to hold a security clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of basic electronics principles and wiring practices.
  • Proven soldering experience and familiarity with assembly techniques for electronic enclosures and box builds.
  • Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on, physically active environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Previous experience in electronics assembly, manufacturing, or production testing.
  • Familiarity with programming or advanced computer skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
