Now Hiring Lifeguards for the following shifts:
- Monday-Friday, 6am-10am or 8am-12pm
- Monday-Friday, 4pm-8pm
- Saturday, 8am-12pm, 12pm-4pm
- Sunday, 9am-2pm.
About the Role:
As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our pool environment. Under the guidance of the Aquatics Director, you’ll supervise pool activities, prevent accidents, respond to emergencies, and provide CPR and first aid as needed
What We Offer:
- No Experience? No Problem We provide free Lifeguard Certification if you commit to working with us for at least 12 weeks.
- Flexible Hours: We’re open to candidates who can work any hours of operation or fill in as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Supervision: Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and enforce safety rules. Perform water chemistry tests and take corrective actions as needed.
- Programming Support: Follow Association protocols and State guidelines while supporting pool programming and other duties.
- Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships within the Y and support our mission and impact.
- Operations: Maintain rescue readiness, vigilantly scan the pool area, and ensure non-swimmer safety.
- Mission Advancement: Advocate for the Y and promote our annual campaign.
Requirements:
- Age: 16 years or older.
- Certifications: Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid.
- Other: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally. Criminal background check required (YMCA covers this cost).
Compensation:
- Salary: $16.00 - $17.00/hour, based on experience.
