Job DescriptionJob Description

Military Evaluation Services (MES) is hiring a DOCTOR of AUDIOLOGY (AuD) subcontractor (1099) to perform evaluations on America’s Veterans and Service Members as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration's (VA) disability process.

 

You will conduct exam procedures based on the claim filed, complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ), then record the results with your opinion in the portal. This process forms the expert evidence that allows the VA to determine service-connection status and rating (monetary disbursement).

 

The DOCTOR of AUDIOLOGY (AuD) will NOT prescribe treatments or discuss exam results with the Veterans. On average, you will evaluate 4 to 8 Veterans per day, three days per week (some Saturdays are included).

 

The DOCTOR of AUDIOLOGY (AuD) conducts in-office exams and submits the DBQ report within 24 to 48 hours. Paid training after on-boarding. Audiologists are paid per completed DBQ report that is submitted to the VA. No on-call, no scheduling, and no billing are necessary

 

ATTENTION:

If you work for the Veterans Affairs and would like to do this part-time, the VA permits you to do so with a clearance letter.

 

CREDENTIALING and HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume

  • AuD from a regionally accredited school

  • Current state of Georgia AUDIOLOGIST license

  • ASHA or AAA certification

  • Liability insurance

  • Other requirements established by the VA or MES to meet local, state, and federal standards or policies
