VP, Engineering & Quality | Elkhart, IN | Relocation Assistance Available | up to $200K Base Salary

Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a manufacturer in the Elkhart, IN area that is looking to hire a VP of Engineering & Quality. We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience within the automotive/related industry and individuals with a Bachelor's degree in engineering. More details are below. 

 

DIRECT HIRE

LOCATION: Elkhart, IN. Relocation assistance is available for this role

SCHEDULE: 7A-4P / 8A-5P, Monday-Friday. Fully onsite. 

SALARY: $180,000 - $200,000 base salary + 35% bonus & stock options. 

BENEFITS: Strong medical, dental, and vision benefits. Medical benefits start the first of the month, following 30 days of employment. 48 hours of personal time & 80 hours of PTO (Prorated). PTO is renewed at the start of each year.

TRAVEL: up to 25% of the time. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage all engineering & quality functions across 3 manufacturing sites.
  • Manage the engineering & quality department budgets and ensure that all projects and engineering activities fall within this budget.
  • Provide design guidance to the design team and approve their product designs.
  • Drive continuous improvement at manufacturing sites, developing project and efficiency plans.
  • Assist with quality investigations, auditing processes, and the development of processes for the quality department. 
  • For any open cases harvest discoverable information, attend settlement conferences, & sign affidavits
  • Act as the liaison between corporate legal, outside council, and expert witnesses.
  • Responsible for filing new patents through their preferred council & working with sales to disposition patent extensions
  • Develop, coach, and lead engineering & quality employees.
  • They will act as a resource/mentor for them, guiding them along the way through promotions and growth periods. 
  • Work with senior-level leadership (President, VPs, upper-level managers) to make business decisions, analyzing company performance, KPIs, financials, and growth plans.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 5+ years of experience working within engineering positions for the manufacturing industry, with 2+ years of this experience being within an Engineering Manager position.
  • Experience with IATF regulations
  • Ideally, we are looking for candidates from the automotive or heavy industrial industry.
