Job Title: Part-Time Dental Hygienist (with potential for full-time in May 2025) 

Schedule: Monday, 8 am – 5 pm 

Potential Transition: Full-time in May 2025 

 

Responsibilities/Duties for RDH:

 • Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling & root planning, air polishing.

 • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions 

 • Collaborate and communicate with the dental team/ referral office to develop and maintain comprehensive patient care plans

 • Conduct oral health assessments, screening for oral diseases such as periodontal disease and oral cancer 

 • Take patient x-rays for diagnostic purposes 

 • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation

 • Uphold sterilization, infection control, and safety standards according to state and OSHA regulations 

 • Assist with patient management and maintain a positive, welcoming environment  

 

Knowledge/Certifications/Qualifications: 

 • Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Nebraska  

 • Basic Life Support Certification

 • Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques, including the use of ultrasonic scalers and digital x-ray equipment 

 • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient education and preventive dental care 

 • Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document patient progress and maintain records 

 • Basic knowledge of dental software and technology

 • Compassionate, professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset
