BACKGROUND:

Facility Service and Maintenance Management EXPERIENCE. Preferably in Automotive or Equipment Manufacturing. 5+ years of experience. Strong leadership, communication, and the ability to multi task and manage a high pressure environment. FMP IS A PLUS.

MAIN DUTIES:

Experience in general cleaning and building maintenance, particularly in the manufacturing and automotive industries. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of safety standards and quality management systems and be familiar with ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, and 51000 standards. This role is critical for ensuring the facility meets the highest cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency standards.

 

The Facilities Site Manager will be responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal operation of facilities and equipment. They will coordinate with procurement, external vendors, and contractors for specialized work, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

 

Additionally, they will play a key role in implementing sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives, contributing to cost reduction and compliance with the company’s environmental policies.

 

The manager will be key in training and developing maintenance staff and promoting a culture of engagement, safety, and excellence in the workplace. They will be accountable to their supervisory team and hold them accountable for any deficiencies on overall performance.

 

The manager will work closely with their team and HR to ensure that all employee time is approved so that payroll will be processed by deadline. HR and Management will collaborate to ensure that employee communication and coaching is timely and that all employees understand the mission and expectations of their position.

 

Customer Focus and Continuous Improvement

 

Ensures internal customer satisfaction by effectively responding to their needs and concerns related to facilities. They will establish and maintain effective communication channels to meet and exceed customer expectations.

 

The manager will be a key driver of continuous improvement, consistently seeking opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of services provided. This includes implementing best practices, regularly evaluating employee performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and engagement within the team.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, and cleaning services in manufacturing or automotive industries.

· Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, and 51000 standards.

· Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance schedules and vendor relationships.

· Leadership skills with a focus on team development and safety.

· Experience in implementing energy efficiency and sustainability programs.

· Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

· Bi-lingual a plus

· Shown Success in managing a large team and building a team environment.

· Understands Employee Engagement

· Worked in union environment is a plus.

· Ability to remain discreet and confidential.

· Ability to interact with employees at all levels and treat with respect and dignity.

FMP is a plus

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequently pushing, pulling, and bending.

Must be able to lift 40lbs.
