Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLandmark Hospital of Joplin has an opportunity for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated and professional team This is a PRN position and would be able to work both the Acute Rehab Unit and the LTACH. Summary: A Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, treatment and evaluation of physical therapy for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for specific patient populations
  • Assesses patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs to determine level and type of care.
  • Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals, and interventions.
  • Delivers care based on acuity level, identified needs, and physician orders.
  • Coordinates physical therapy care activities with other departments/disciplines.
  • Assesses, collaborates, and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
  • Assesses patient/family learning needs, abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into plan of care.
  • Provides appropriate education/orientation to patients/families.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or post Graduate degree (PT)
    • Active Physical Therapist (PT) License in the state of Missouri
    • BLS Certification
  • Minimum 1 year hospital experience, critical care/acute care preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Team, detail and goal oriented
  • Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
