Dental Hygenist

• Salary: $33-39/hr, depending on experience
• Schedule: Mon-Fri, hours may vary between 7am-5pm
• Reports to: Practice Manager Dentist

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Dental Hygiene
• New York State licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dental Hygienist
• Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Essential Duties

• Assesses individuals to determine their current dental status.
• Establishes patient chart and records necessary dental information.
• Performs dental prophylaxis and other dental hygiene tasks as necessary.
• Determines the number and necessity of dental prophylactic visits per year.
• Provides instruction on home dental care and overall dental education.
• Performs dental radiographs for initial and follow-up prophylactic appointments.
• Assures the dental hygiene instruments and equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized and maintained in operating order.
• Acts as dental assistant as necessary.
• Performs any other related duties as requested
